A Little About Me

I was born and raised in a small northeast Kansas town by two amazing parents. My siblings were the first “victims” of my love for all things photography. I am sure my parents were thrilled when I finally switched to digital instead of having to make weekly trips to the pharmacy to get film developed! I graduated from the University of Kansas in 2009 with an MS in Curriculum and Instruction, then married the love of my life, Brian, and moved to Colorado. We live in Loveland and welcomed our two children, Stephen and Emma, into our lives in 2012 and 2014. Nothing is more beautiful, precious, and rewarding than being a parent, and my passion for photographing families has increase exponentially in the last few years as a result. I have always loved taking pictures, because it allows me to capture a moment in time that might otherwise fade. It is with that appreciation for memory preservation that I come to you as a photographer. There are three very important reasons that I am so passionate about photography: my faith, my client relationships, and my passion.

My Faith
I was brought up a strong Catholic woman, and within my faith I have found such beauty in our world. Whether I am out on a walk and snapping pictures of a gorgeous sunset or capturing the precious first minutes of life in a delivery room for a beloved client, I praise my God every day for the beauty that I am able to witness, and thus capture. I try to not only compose a beautiful image for my clients, but to allow God’s masterpieces to come to life through the raw and natural emotion of the shot.

Client Relationships

Clearly one of the most important aspects of my career is the relationships that I am fortunate to build with you, my clients. It is the personal touch of knowing your preferences, your angles, your candid moment triggers, and so much more that allow me to capture beautiful memories for you. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than to watch a young child grow, from his or her first 9 months in the mother’s womb, to the newborn photography session, the first year cake smash, and all the way up to his or her high school senior photography session. What an honor it would be to chronicle this journey for you and your family.

My Passion

Last but by no means least, I have an indescribable passion for my craft. I teach middle school full-time for my primary income, but the passion I have for photography is something that cannot be fulfilled anywhere else but behind a camera. I spend countless hours researching the best composition methods, special editing effects, and so much more. I have never taken a professional photography class in my life, as I am all self-taught, but you’ll see the spark and fire in my eyes when our session begins, and you’ll know that I am going to give you my all. I treat my clients’ photos and memories with as much care and attention to detail as I do for my own family’s images. Please allow me the honor of capturing your memories…one moment at a time.
